The cartridge has an ink chamber 3 formed in the lower half by a plate 6 supported on a flexible foil 7 The ink chamber is held under low pressure by a coil spring located in the top half of the housing. Access to the chamber is via an orifice insert that has a ball type non-return valve 12. The cartridge is replenished by ink supplied under low pressure from a main reservoir.
