METHOD OF DETERMINATION OF OCTANE NUMBER OF GASOLINES AND DEVICE TO IMPLEMENT IT

FIELD: study of properties of oil products. SUBSTANCE: working measurement channel including source 1 of infrared radiation and optical filter 2 is supplemented with optical switch 3 which sends radiation of source 1 over light guides into working and testing dishes. Level of radiation of source 1 is stabilized by signal from output of testing dish, value of octane number is found by difference of signals across output of testing and working dishes where tested sample of oil product, specifically gasoline, is positioned. EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of octane number and provision for fire and explosion safety of operation of device.
