ADAPTOR TO BE MOUNTED ON A LOW-ENERGY FLUORESCENT LAMP AND THE USE OF THE ADAPTOR

An adaptor to be mounted on a low-energy fluorescent lamp for providing an outer form corresponding to a conventional incandescent lamp is comprised of two parts, viz. a top part and a bottom part. The top part is in the form of a hollow, at least partially transparent shell defining the general configuration of the adaptor and having a lower bottom aperture. The bottom part defines an essentially plane surface provided with one or more recesses or cutouts for receiving and maintaining of the light-emitting tube of a low-energy fluorescent lamp, said bottom part being mounted on the top part so that the bottom part covers the lower bottom aperture of the top part.
