An apparatus and a method for recording and replaying conversation contents in a cellular phone are disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a display unit(30); at least two recording regions(24); a first converting unit(40) for converting a voice signal to a digital voice signal; a second converting unit(50) for converting an inputted digital signal to an analog signal; and a controller(20), responsive to a recording signal, for recording the digital signal from the first converting unit at one of recording regions, displaying the recording region at the display unit, and, responsive to a replay signal, for displaying the recorded region containing the digital converted voice signal at the display unit and for reading the recorded voice signal to provide the read signal to the second converting unit(50).
