A protective helmet including a body portion formed at a top thereof with a first hole and having a hood extending outwardly from the top of the body portion thereby forming a passage communicating with the first hole, an intermediate layer fitted on an inner surface of the body portion having a second hole communicating with the first hole of the body portion and a plurality of first grooves extending radially from the second hole, a foamed rubber layer adhered to the intermediate layer and formed with a plurality of raised portions and second grooves which communicate with the first grooves, and a cloth lining adhered on the foamed rubber layer.
