PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide animal cell cryopreservation liquid having excellent vitrifying capability.SOLUTION: There are provided a vitrified state stabilizer for animal cell cryopreservation liquid which contains amphoteric polymer compound selected from a group consisting of: (a) a carboxylated amphoteric polymer compound produced by allowing ε-poly-L-lysine to react with butyl succinic anhydride; (b) a carboxylated amphoteric polymer compound produced by allowing ε-poly-L-lysine to react with butyl succinic anhydride and succinic anhydride; or (c) a carboxylated amphoteric polymer compound produced by allowing ε-poly-L-lysine to react with a compound expressed in Formula I, and animal cell cryopreservation liquid containing the vitrified state stabilizer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
