摘要

An adaptive operating method for vocoder in digital mobile communication network of the present invention is provided to enhance the system performance by operating adaptively in response to an established call. This method prevents deterioration of the voice quality due to double vocoding and decreases the power consumption. This method includes the steps of establishing the type of a call and storing the information about the call; operating in a normal vocoding mode if the information of the stored call is indicative of a mobile station-land call & land-mobile station call; and if the established call is a mobile station-mobile station call, operating an encoded packet with preamble check byte in a bypass mode.
