Operating device for electric push-button switch

The operating device uses a cover plate (5) of an elastic sheet material applied to the front face of a front plate (3), positioned infront of the mounting plate (2) for the push-button switch (1). The cover plate has a U-shaped slit aligned with the switch push- button head (13), for providing a tongue (11) which can be deflected inwards by applied finger pressure, for operation of the push-button head. The cover plate may be made of metal or plastics and incorporate a number of tongues for operation of respective push-buttons, with the elasticity of the cover plate material returning each tongue to its original position.
