The trough (9) has a flexible pipe (6), which is connected to a pipe system (4) pressurised with manure. The manure is transported from an animal stall (1) through the pressurised pipe system over the trough edge down the flexible pipe, which ends under the manure level in the trough. The distance between the pipe lower edge (8) and the bottom of the well corresponds approximately to the diameter of the pipe. The pipe is formed from thin rubber or plastics sheeting and is suspended freely against the connecting pipe system at a point or points (10) above the trough manure level. The pipe is supported by a line system (7) which on connection with the pressurised pipe system is not entirely vertical. A venting valve (13), which prevents siphon effects, is connected to the pipe at a point lying above the highest filling level. |
