This device has been designed in order, in combination with the reduction in or abolition of municipal rates, to promote the selective collection of the said waste which, recyclable or non-recyclable, is usually deposited by citizens in the same containers, making its selection impossible and complicating its collection. The present device comprises a closed receptacle 1 with at least one upper opening 2 via which the waste or bag b containing waste will be introduced subject to the insertion of tokens or coins into a box 5 of said receptacle, which will allow the opening of a cover 6 which closes said opening 2, behind which the receptacle 1 has a compartment 3 in which the waste is temporarily deposited, the waste falling into a removable container C provided inside the receptacle 1 when the said cover 2 closes and a hatch 4 which constitutes the floor of the said compartment 3 opens. <IMAGE>
