For hardening plastic coverings on metal dental artificial crowns, a relief layer is created of a thin woven metal wire or of a solid reticular porous metal foil, which is welded onto a metal surface. The method provides the stable fastening of the plastic using a notably thinner relief surface and it can be used for very thin metal dental crowns.
