In the micom having an option clarifying key and an option setting, the method for controlling an option clarification of a household electric appliance comprises the steps of reading respective option port values when an option clarifying key is inputted, discriminating a corresponding option according to the option port value, and providing a display and an alarm sound distinghished from each other options according to the discriminated option, whereby enabling to clarify a set option very easily since the option may be automatically confirmed by pressing a key, so heightening a reliability of products.
