The operation time setting method of a microwave oven comprises the steps of: judging whether there is a rotation of a rotational nub in an operation time setting mode of the microwave oven; judging whether the rotation is the right rotation or the left rotation, in case that there is the rotation of the rotational nub; varying the fixed rotation angle of the rotational nub proportionally to operation time remaining at present and then, reducing the operation time as a rotation amount of the rotational nub, in case of the left rotation; varying the fixed rotation angle of the rotational nub proportionally to the operation time remaining at present and then, increasing the operation time as a rotation amount of the rotational nub, in case of the right rotation.
