Surfaces of cylinders and rollers of printing machines are cleaned using a cloth dispensed from a roll and consisting of an unwoven material and passing via a pressure bar, which presses it over the surface to be cleaned, to a dirty cloth roll. The material comprises compacted and bonded micro-fibres with a large surface area, high resistance to wear, constant density distribution, high absorbency and low fluff formation.The material may be impregnated with a tenside.
