Medicinal compositions comprising as the active ingredient one or more drugs selected from the group consisting of angiotensin II receptor antagonists and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and one or more drugs selected from the group consisting of insulin resistance improving agents. Because of showing excellent effects of inhibiting the progression of arteriosclerosis, these compositions are useful as drugs, in particular, preventives or remedies for arteriosclerosis.
