Appts. for filtering liquids comprises a horizontal driven rotatable body with walls of filter material and a feed liquid inlet to the interior, in which a pool of the liquid is maintained, and a basin around the descending part of the body. Guides attached to the body and spaced around its axis pass cloudy filtrate from the descending side into the basin. Cloudy filtrate is discharged from the basin and there is a washing system near the body top for removing particles from the exterior of the filter material. There are pref. 10-36 guides and each receives cloudy filtrate from the filter material between it and an adjacent upper guide for outward flow under gravity into the basin. |
