PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aligner for aligning an eyelid assembly precisely with the catcher of a continuous ink jet print head. SOLUTION: An eyelid assembly 1 is aligned precisely with the catcher 3 of a continuous ink jet print head 10. An eyelid link mechanism 4 associated with the eyelid assembly is tightened to the ink jet print head and provides a pivot area for turning the eyelid assembly to the inside and outside of the catcher. In order to align the eyelid assembly precisely with the catcher, a fixing metal holds and positions the eyelid link mechanism precisely. Subsequently, the eyelid assembly aligned precisely is bonded to the frame 5 of the print head and the eyelid assembly is secured to the eyelid assembly using a pivot pin 7.
