PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly fix a step for resting feet to the column of a chair so as not to generate backlash. SOLUTION: The column 24 whose cross sectional shape is cirular is erected on a leg body 20 mounted on a floor surface and a seat plate 28 is supported by the column 24. A step 34 is constituted of a boss 40 and a foot resting part 36 fixed to the boss 40 by an arm 38. Tapering 30 capable of freely reducing a diameter for which a tapered surface is formed at an outer diameter part is fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the column 24 and the boss of the step 34 is force-fitted to the outer diameter part of the tapering 30. The tapering 30 is diameter-reduced by pressure from the boss 40 and pressed and fixed to the column 24 and thus, the step 34 is strongly fixed to the column 24. |
