摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foaming rubber composition which can realize high friction coefficient on the iced or snowed road surface without reduction in abrasion resistance and fracture characteristics and is suitable for pneumatic tire by formulating specific short cut fibers to a rubber component, for example, natural rubber or the like at a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of at least one of rubber components selected from the group consisting of natural rubber and diene synthetic rubbers and (B) 3-30 pts.wt. of short-cut thermoplastic fibers of a double-layered structure of the core (preferably melting at >=170 deg.C) and the sheath (preferably melting at 100-200 deg.C), preferably having an average diameter D of 1.0-60μm and a ratio L/D of the average fiber length (L) to the average diameter (D) of >=20 and the core melts at a temperature higher than the sheath does. In a preferred embodiment, a rubber composition with an foaming extent of 5-40% is used to manufacture the objective pneumatic tire.
