PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the slip of a skin material on a seat sheet and the impair ment of the design characteristic of the skin material surface in spite of the repetition of the attachment and detachment to and from a hook-and-loop fasten er having hooklike engaging elements and long-term use as the skin material for the seat. SOLUTION: This tricot fabric is formed with a looped raising layer on its one surface and has a loop layer formed of multifilament yarn satisfying the equations and having single yarn denier of >=3 denier on the opposite surface thereof. The multifilament yarn forming the looped fluff layer on the one surface and the multifilament yarn forming the loop layer on the opposite surface thereof are respectively separated and knitted. 5<=(DT×DE/2<1/2> , DE<=35, where DT denotes the breaking strength (g/d) of the filament and DE denotes the elognation (%) at break of the filament.
