The system has an automatic checking and function monitoring appliance (14) made up of the following devices. A processor (25) for processing the measurement values obtained at measurement stations (15-18) and a display (20) for one or more measured values. A readjustment unit is connected to the processor to up-date system parameters and the measured data is permanently recorded at a data recording station connected to the processor. A camera can be provided to record the integral sensitivity which the automated test fault cycle automatically adopts and which leads to an assessment of the measured signals.
