The foreign material collecting and removing device of refrigerant pipe of an absorption type cooler/heater is capable of collecting and periodically removing the foreign material contained in a liquid refrigerant flowing to the refrigerant pipe, to smoothly supply the liquid refrigerant. The device comprises: a foreign material filtering and collecting part installed on a predetermined portion of the refrigerant pipe connecting a condenser and an evaporator, for filtering and collecting the foreign material; a drain line for removing the collected foreign material; a valve for opening/closing the drain line; and a refrigerant cut-off valve installed on the both sides of the refrigerant pipe, for cutting-off the refrigerant pipe upon removing the foreign material.
