The trunk comprises a base (2), a cover (8) which can move relative to the base, a rearward inclined front wall (13) and a rear wall (15). The side walls each comprise lower (5) and upper (6) parts which are articulated about a horizontal axis (107). The upper part articulated relative to the cover about an axis (109) and the lower part is articulated relative to the base about an axis (105). The lower part of each side wall extends beyond a support as far as its end (5b). There are rigid lower (5c) and upper (6c) webs which are articulated about a horizontal axis. The upper web is articulated about an axis (109a) relative to an edge (8a) fixed to the cover and the lower web is articulated about an axis (105a) relative to the base.
