Disclosed is a disc player having a disc raising/dropping means. A disc is safely placed in a safe disc placing portion(11) of a tray(12). A projection(13) is formed in the lower part of the tray(12). The disc raising/dropping means(14) are safely installed on the upper part of the projection(13). Thereby the disc can be raised. The disc raising/dropping means(14) consists of a lower electromagnet(16), an upper electromagnet(18), and a cylindrical materials(20), Thus, an user can hold the disc without giving damage to the disc player or disc.
