FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for grinding of longitudinal flutes on edges of grooves of input shaft 4 of control valve of powered steering gear in which shaft 4 is supported for rotation by supports 14 and 15, includes grinding wheel 30 having profiled periphery whose cross-section corresponds to cross-section of flute 5. Grinding wheel 30 is made for relative motion in direction of input shaft 4 for some preset depth of cutting in it and withdrawal from it to form longitudinal flute 5 with sloping ends.
