IMPROVED SAFETY CAP FOR PRESSURIZED CONTAINERS

A safety cap (10) for containers under steam pressure contains internally a diaphragm (20) that is actuated by the pressure of steam in such a way as to break the mechanical connection between a closure member (11) forming part of the cap (10) and screwed onto the container, and a knob (12) forming part of the cap and by means of which the latter can be screwed on and off. In order to increase the safety features of the cap (10), the latter is fitted with a manometer (26), incorporated in the cap (10) and readable from the outside, which detects the pressure of steam in the container.
