The measurement device which connects to electricity meter circuit has a shunt with first and second connection terminals (6,7) arranged on a shunt board for supply of a voltage equal to that of the electricity supply across the shunt. The shunt section (5) between terminals (6,7) is effectively flat and the laminar type support plate (11) which supports the terminals has two connection wires (19,20) connected to the terminals (6,7). The output connections from the terminals are separated from the input connections as they are mounted on a separate board of the laminar support (11) and connect to the meter circuit. A third terminal provides a supply voltage for the meter.
