A housing for an axial fan, especially for cooling of EMC-screened apparatus, consists of a mounting part having an air opening (10) and a metallic screen-grating (4) covering the opening. The grating is designed along the lines of an impeller with scoop-shaped deflecting limbs (14) stretching over a certain axial air guide length, in effect, almost radially. The limbs are located so to be divided into at least two concentric circles and the number of limbs in the outermost circle is greater than the number in the neighbouring circle. Actually the limbs are divided into three concentric circles and the number of limbs per circle increases outwards.
