FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: water is treated using electrodes on which voltage is applied, treatment being effected in the space by pulsating impulse electric field with heat effect of current not exceeding 95 C. Treated water is settled for 20-28 h, separated from sludge, boiled, and filtered. Apparatus has electrodes located inside casing with water-discharge pipe and at least two peripherally disposed pairs of electrodes with alternate polarity fastened to suspender and connected to pulse converter to enable receiving pulsating impulse voltage from the latter.
