The present invention relates to an arrangement in a chair (1), especially an adjustable chair, comprising a seat (2) and a backrest (3) which can both be moved to change the angle ( alpha 1) between the seat (2) and the backrest (3), relative to a stationary bottom frame (4), and also comprising a calf supporting board (5) which is by means of a mechanism (6-15) arranged to be capable of taking up a folded position underneath the seat (2) when the angle ( alpha 1) between the seat (2) and the backrest (3) warrants a sitting position (Figure 1) for the user, and being arranged so that with an increasing angle ( alpha 2) between the backrest (3) and the seat (2) warranting a resting position (Figure 2) for the user, it causes the calf supporting board (5) to be swung out to a substantially horizontal position, and with the aim of providing a compact, separate unit which may accompany the chair at the time of purchase or by means of simple tools be fitted afterwards, it is proposed according to the invention that the calf supporting board (5) with its pertaining mechanism (6-14) be executed as a unit (Figure 3) or module which may be mounted on the underside of the chair seat (102) and on the bottom frame (104) according to wish, especially on a finished chair produced of the type "Stressless". |
