FIELD: electrometallurgical production of aluminum from its oxides; may be used in production of electrodes suitable for electrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention makes it possible to produce composition for manufacture of composite electrode by the method of synthesis by burning. Composition contains at least 20 wt.% of powdery or fibrous filler capable of imparting the mechanical and electrical properties, and up to 35 wt.% of powdery inorganic binder with melting point below the temperature of synthesis by burning.
