Handler for carton preforms

The folded preforms (2) are held in a magazine feed (1) in a near vertical position. Pivot mounted lifting arms (8) take each preform and transfer it to a belt drive comprising parallel elastic belt strips. The lifting arms drop through the gaps between the belts and control arms (19) press the preforms flat onto the belts. the lifting arms have bellows shaped suction grips (12) to hold the preforms during transfer. Fixed stops (22) open a vent valve (21) when the lifting arms are in the retracted position to release the preforms. The belt drives have grips (15) which push the preforms to the next process.
