PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine power cable having improved characteristics of fatigue strength while preventing water from infiltrating the inside of the cable.SOLUTION: A submarine power cable (10) comprises: an electric conductor (1) surrounded with insulators (2, 3, 4) surrounded with a metal waterproofing barrier (5); a semi-conductive adhesives layer (6) surrounding the metal waterproofing barrier (5); and a semi-conductive polyethylene jacket (7) capable of electrically contacting sea water and surrounding the semi-conductive adhesives layer (6). A three layer sheath is formed by superimposing the metal waterproofing barrier (5), the semi-conductive adhesives layer (6) and the semi-conductive polymer jacket (7).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
