Plastic element with integrated sliding fastening

The fastening consists of a spacer (7) which is of greater thickness than the plastic component and able to slide in an elongated rectangular slot (4) in it. The spacer is connected to the two ends of the slot by flexible elements (17) which can be deformed or broken. The fastening is covered by an outer plate with a screw which passes through the hole (14) in the spacer. Alternatively the spacer engages with the longer edges of the slot by use of matching stepped surfaces.
