The invention concerns a device for reading and indicating angular cuts of the shifting square type, combined with a protractor. The device consists of a shifting square (2) comprising two branches (3-4) combined with a protractor comprising a notch (5) in which is inserted the shifting square after reading the angle. This reading is carried out along the edges (3a-4b), the edge (3a) resting on the edge (1a) of the notch (5). The indications of the angular cuts are produced opposite the edge (4a) on one of the scales (6) printed on the protractor (1). The scale (6a) indicates the read angle, the scale (6b) gives the value of this half-angle at the top, the scale (6c) indicates the half-complement or half-supplement of the angle at the top. The scale marks (R) of the extended scales are tangent to the semi-cylindrical connecting surface (5c) of the notch (5).
