An electrostatic powder coating gun is provided which consists of a powder duct which is connected to an infeed line (19) for a powder-air mixture and is open in the direction of the gun barrel longitudinal axis towards the workpiece to be coated, a high-voltage generator (14), an electrode support tube (13) penetrating the powder duct axially and a high-voltage electrode seated on the support tube which projects beyond the powder duct mouth in the direction towards the workpiece. In this arrangement, the high-voltage generator (14) and the powder duct (18) are arranged behind one another in the longitudinal axis of the powder tube in such a way that the powder duct is adjacent to the mouth of the gun barrel. In this arrangement, the powder duct consists of a toroidal channel (17) and an annular channel (18) branching off therefrom and opening outwards. <IMAGE> |
