FIELD: gas processing, oil processing, chemical and other industries; heat-mass exchange devices. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing with gas and liquid inlet and outlet unions, sections with concave packing layers limited along packing profile by bases from top and bottom and arranged in height of apparatus. Perforated trays with free cross-sectional areas providing flooding of apparatus at maximum gas or liquid load are installed under each packing section for displacement along axis of apparatus. It ensures additional time of contact between liquid and gas over entire volume of packings, both of upper and lower sections. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwga
