In a cabinet (1) for telecommunications engineering, with a frame rack containing at least one module carrier (2) designed to receive plug-in units, an d a ventilating installation for cooling the plug-in units, the ventilating installa tion comprises at least one fan insert (13) with several vertically blowing axial fan s, which can be plugged in and integrated into the module carrier (2). The fan inse rt (13) is located under transverse supports of the module carrier (2) and has at l east one plug connector at the rear, which makes contact with a secondary plug connector provided on the rear wiring panel (10).
