The damper has a rubber block (12) with two mountings (14,16) connected respectively to two opposed ends of the block and fixed to the vehicle components to be damped. The mountings can each have a shaped section (14,16) formed integrally with the block (12) and compressed using force into as bore (38,42) of selected shape formed in the respective component. Each mounting can be attached to the block by a necked section with an annular groove (26,28) which receives the edge of the bore.
