Removing mercury from waste incineration plant flue gas

Process for removing mercury from flue gas containing mercury, dust, further heavy metals and other gaseous pollutants comprises converting mercury with alkali sulphide solution together with an acid (former), especially sodium tetrasulphide in mercury, and removing the mercury sulphide via a dust separator.
