Cleaning process, e.g. for chemical reactors

The cleaning process cleans surfaces which have become fouled during storage. A mixture containing water and wood chips is used to clean such surfaces. The wood chips should preferably be free of resin. Hardwood chips such as mahogany and sapele are preferred. The cleaning process can be applied at temperatures between 0 and 120 deg C, preferably between 20 and 60 deg c, possibly under pressure.
