Appts. for imitating and/or promoting pressurised chemical and/or physical reactions by means of microwaves, has a (partially) microwave transparent sample container inserts which are arranged in a microwave impervious housing connected by one or more coupling openings to a microwave generator. The housing comprises one or more pressure vessels (4) of high pressure resistant material with coupling openings (12) closed in a microwave transparent, sample and highly pressure-tight manner, a single container insert (21) being fully seated on the inner face of each pressure vessel (4). Pref. the container inserts (21) are made of an elastically deformable fluorine-contg. (co-)polymer.
