Emergency call and information unit

An emergency call/information unit is in the form of an electronic cabinet which has an outwardly curved door panel (1) provided with operating elements and loudspeaker and microphone openings. and which has a rectangular tubular framework of a top cross-strut mounted directly on the upper ends of vertical rectangular side tubes. The door (1) extends over the entire cabinet height, except for a small edge region comprising the cabinet lid (6), and has an inner facing sheet with an inwardly sloping edge. The cabinet bottom plate (5) has an outwardly curved edge which, together with the other edges has a hollow sealing body for sealing the cabinet when the door (1) is closed. Preferably, the cabinet back wall is welded to the bottom plate (5) and rivetted to the side tubes, the region of the rivets being sealed with silicone material. Used e.g. in open spaces such as open railway stations or road sides.
