PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work-piece holding device advantageous in reduction of costs with a comparatively simple structure, and a robot.SOLUTION: The work-piece holding device comprises a pair of fingers for holding a work-piece, a pair of slide members which make the pair of fingers approach or separate to/from each other, and driving means which operates the pair of slide members. The driving means makes a pair of driving pins that a rotary solenoid has act on a pair of engagement holes that the pair of slide members have, transmits rotation-driving of the rotary solenoid to the pair of slide members so as to change the rotation-driving to linear-driving by which the pair of slide members approach or separate to/from each other, so that the pair of fingers are operated through the pair of slide members.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
