The swing-out cloakroom hook comprises a flat oval body (6) with a pivot axis (7) above the line of its center of gravity. The hook body swivels within limits in a suitably excised plate (5) fixed to the wall (1), using bearing pins so arranged that the plate and body are coplanar when at rest. The bottom part (6b) of the body has to be pressed to form the clothes hook with the top part (6a). The plate (5) is secured to the wall (1) by a fixer strap (4) whose center part forms the end stop limiting the pivot of the hook when hung with clothes. The body has any number of hooks of different length and the mounting plate (5) is several mm thick only and has radiused edges.
