The invention relates to oil producing industry, in particular, to control engineering, and can be used in centralized oil well production management systems. The essence of the invention consists in a method for control of a pump displacement process comprising automatic control of borehole pump displacement for a definite formation fluid withdrawal rate with maintenance of a constant dynamic fluid level in the producing string. The method includes measurements of the force in the gland rod and of the fluid level in the producing string. The fluid level is adjusted by varying beam oscillation frequency of the beam-balanced pumping unit. Additionally, pressure is measured in the well discharge line and in the mouth of the tubing, and the pump displacement is determined according to the following algorithm:The essence of the invention consists also in a device for implementing the method. The device comprises force and dynamic level sensors, a control unit and a speed variator with a servo drive. The device further includes pressure sensors in the well discharge line and in the mouth of the tubing. The claimed invention allows prompt and reliable monitoring and management of well operation.
