The machine tool consists of a circular bed (8) on which can be mounted three vertical guides (601,602,603). These guides have attached to them, three link arms of fixed lengths (401,402,403) that are in turn connected to a machining spindle (2) via ball joints (301,302,303), each with three degrees of freedom. This allows the tool bit (1) in the spindle (2) to operate on the work piece (20) in the vertical or the horizontal axes, thus giving six degrees of freedom.
