The bicycle has a toothed gear transmission to transmit the movements of a drive unit to one of two wheels. The transmission has several toothed gears positioned in a row, which extends from the drive unit (25,26) to the drive shaft of the driven wheel (18). The transmission is contained in a long flat closed casing (23), positioned on or between two parallel frame tubes (11) of the bicycle. The bicycle frame consists mainly of two parallel semi-circular frame tubes. The upward tube ends carry handlebars and suspension (13,14,16) for the front wheel (15) on one side, and the suspension (17) for the rear wheel (18) on the other side. The tubes are connected to a semi-circular rollbar (22).
