The invention concerns a throttle valve body for an internal combustion engine fuel injection device, comprising a housing (2) wherein is arranged an air intake conduit (3) including an internal wall (4), a throttle valve (6) in the form of a disk dividing said conduit into an upstream portion (8) and a downstream portion (9), and mobile between a minimum opening position and a maximum opening position, the throttle valve part facing the conduit upstream portion, respectively the downstream portion, from the minimum opening position, having the form of a flat half-disk (12, 13) with an edge (11), the conduit wall comprising means for self-centring (15) the throttle valve co-operating with the edge. The self-centring means comprise first protuberances (16) projecting towards the inside of the conduit, and the throttle valve edge comprises second protuberances (17) projecting towards the conduit wall, the first and second protuberances being substantially matching in shape.
