FIELD: heat exchangers, mainly gas-type water heaters; gas and liquid cooling devices. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger has modules including pair of tube bunches; each bunch consists of at least two tubes with collectors at their ends; one collector is common; each module is connected in series with adjacent module by means of U-shaped tube; rectilinear sections of U-shaped tube are located in parallel with tubes of bunch. Besides that, U-shaped tube passes through common collectors of adjacent modules; additional tube is connected to inlet and/or outlet of extreme modules; additional tube is located in parallel with tubes of module passing through common collector of module. EFFECT: improved thermal characteristics of heat exchanger with no increase in its overall dimensions. 4 cl, 1 dwg
